You may be able to lower the powerband by degreeing the cams advanced a little but have to check the piston to valve clearances. It's a common Hotrod trick to advance the cams to get more bottom end power with a high lift/ hi performancecams. Youmay losea little it oftop end speed though.

i just got mine a few weeks ago and it's freakin awesome! although there is a pestering noise in the front end at 5000-7000rpm's. i had the dealer check it out at my first service and they didn't find anything. i'll have to listen closely i guess, could even be my key fob. she pulls great and handles like a ****!!

gotmy 07 ZX6Rin Feb, it handles and brakes awesome, the power is a bit peaky but with a few mods it should wake up the power.
I have a 2005 636 track bike, until I did some modifications to it, it also was a little weak, don't worry about the power, 600's are about the handling.
If you want power get a ZX14, if you want to Learn to Turn a 600 is the way to go.
just my 2cents.
