1/4 mile results.....
I loaded up the ZX-6R Friday evening and took it to Rockingham Dragway to see if I could accomplish a couple things.
1. Trying to see how well I can shift with my bum leg.
2. Hang out with some good friends.
3. See if I could get into the 10's....
Last time I went to the strip was the day before my leg almost got torn off, and that was with theCBR. That was also my FIRST time to the strip, but I managed a best of 11.07 @ 124.45 trap speed.
This was the first time riding the ZX-6 since getting hurt, so I was a little apprehensive for a variety of reasons, but everything went decent and I managed to achieve all my goals!
R/T- .126
60"- 1.881
330- 4.779
1/8-7.157
MPH- 104.28
1000- 9.179
1/4- 10.952
MPH- 127.27
Not too bad for an old guy with a bum leg and not having ridden the bike for 8 months!
Next up is a track day April 7th at Roebling Road in GA!

Awesome man! Way to jump back into the game....much respect. Have a good time in Georgia. Post some pics when you get back and watch that leg. Relax and remember to modulate the throttle! Speed likes that saying
Just the onepic I posted before, but I picked it up this past weekend and here is apic in it's new home....

Here are the rest of the pics.....

You thought a ZX-6R with aftermarket rearsets has an aggressive ergonomics stance? You should try sitting on one of these! Not much room between the seat and pegs! I am not sure I will ever be able to ride it without a pillow on the seat to raise me up!

This one is primarily a collector piece. The occasional bike night or some gatherings, but no serious use. It is too ****ing clean to take a chance on screwing it up! I may do a session at a track day on it if I ever get to where I can comfortably ride it, just to run it and see how it does, but other than that, it's a show piece.
Wow!! 10 second ZX6R!! That's great! BTW, Nice Gixxer. I remember when these first came out. Smoked some uppity snobby chump with my old KZ650 on a windey road!
