Default 07 zx6r valve cover gasket??

it seems to be the 07 valve cover gaskets are failing. i met up with three other 07's in a turn out last week and everyone of the guys had theirs fail. i noticted mine did to a while back. since im almost due for the 15,000 mile service im not too worried about it. the guys told me kawi came out with a new thicker gasket for the 07. does anyone have the new part #?? or tell me where to get it? thnx.

it should be a recall.. if you need a part # i'll try to get one for ya today while at the shop.

an 07 that came in for some noise ( timing chain slap) had this issue. whoever the hack was who worked on it before put gobs of silicone on it to seal it.

not the right way, but it is a way.

Mine's an '08. 12/07 production that I got at the end of model runout in June '08. 8500km (5300 miles) no leaks so far so maybe they had the problem sorted by then.

update:
put her in the shop today. the service manager says kawi does admit to the failing of the gasket and will not make it a recall partly cuz some natiniol agency is in charge of that. but they are treating it like a warranty issue and will pay the dealer one hour labor and free parts to change it. so that knocked my bill way down, whoooohoooo!
so part # is MC0816

Well that's good they fixed it for you. not to sure why they only call it a warnanty issue. i guess there hasn't been enought complaints about it to make it a full recall yet. But i'm sure there still making there money because that can't be only an hour job to replace the head gasket.

UPDATE:#2
talking with the mechanic yesterday when i picked her up. he said the service manager was wrong it's not a different thicker gasket. it's a new stock gasket but they put silicon on the front of it. ive only rode 50 miles so far. i will have to wait and see if it leaks again.
