New Guy here. I have owned a lot of bikes and I have joined this forum specifically to look for help with my daughter's boyfriend's ZX6R. It is currently stored in my garage and it is a beautiful looking bike (red). It has a Yosh slip on and it performs quite well.
Anyway, I had read about a simple ECU mod that offered several more hp and involved adding a simple jumper to a connector. The problem I am having is that all of the references to this mod seem to indicate that it is only for the '05-'06 models. Can anybody tell me if this mod is applicable to the '07 model, and if so, where I can get a detailed description of it? I am also interested in any feedback about this mod (does it really work? are there any problems associated with doing it?).

I can truly say there is a difference in quicker acceleration 4th and 5th gear. At highway speeds over 60 mph. the bike will dart through traffic with less downshifting. It will add about 5hp to the US model. I have used it off and on just to compare. It is much better with the mod. Until I get a Yoshi and a power commander, this works well!

 

This mod is mostly all for top-end power and especially performance enhancing with a Slip-On or Full Exhaust
