Default 06 hotbodies untertail exhaust

does anyone here have one of these kits? how do u feel about it. heard it gets hot but not bad if u header wrap. excessively loud? worth 700 plus bucks? i think its by far the best looking option to clean up blinkers and pipes.

Was kinda wondering about this myself. No idea if it's a good exhaust or not would love to see more input if anyone knows.

prone to chipping- i would put that on if I had stock fairings! it looks sick!! to help with the possibility of melting- put header heat strap tape around the pipes. . . .

Yea thay have have had problems with them melting in the past. Also not to much to the pipe just a "y" piece of metal. Don't know if I would pay $700 for it. Rather have a beets racing exhaust>>>>>$2000

Hey Aveisone - I have one on my 05'... I've heard a lot of trash talk on the pipe but everyone that sees the kit or hears it on my bike loves it. I have some sound clips of it parked and also some going down the highway. I will try and post them over the weekend. What sold me was the look and I gambled on the sound (not hearing one before I bought it). The only thing is its loud because like mikedrinfla said in his reply... there isn't much to it. But fu** it too loud to old LOL! As for the melting problem... I think thats fixed with their improvements and mine as well. I insulated the whole undertail with high performance heat wrap. I'll post some pics of that too.

love these exhausts, look great on some bikes (04-05 gsx-r600)but i dunno, unless the bike was a side can, then i don't like them, i love the look of a nice pipe coming out the rear, makes it look more functional and not so cartoon like, on a side can one, they route the exhaust behind the peg so u can see its going somewhere, on a 600rr or 1000rr, r1, zx, etc. they just mind **** me, i love seeing the exhaust, its a key functional aspect, and if your going for clean then think simplicity as in making the bike look purely functional, not hiding the exhaust, i honestly don't think it's worth the money though when if i had a welder and some pipe i could fabricate the exhaust and vacuum form the rear fender myself for less then 100 bucks with blinkers and lisence plate frame
