Default 06 636 no start

My 06 636 will not start. The starter will not turn over, also found no voltage to the fuel pump. Bike is not throwing any codes, lights come on when key is turned.

I have tried starting the bike in gear, neutral, kick stand up and down and with clutch in with every possible combo. Nothing works.

So I called my friend who brought over his 05 636 and we used some of his parts to check my bike out.

Found the ECU fuse to be blown- replaced that.
Swapped ECU's- nothing changed
Used his kill switch and start button on my bike- bike does nothing

Decided to bypass the starter relay and the starter does try to turn over, so it has to be something electrical.

I am at my wits end. It acts like the kill switch is on cause his bike does the same thing with it on, no fuel pump and starter but with us swapping out switches and his is known to be good that can't be it. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks in advance.

have you checked to battery voltage? check it it might have enough power to turn on the lights and stuff but not enough to turn over the bike. maybe that's what's going on hope your able to figure it out.

DAMMIT. i had a bunch of stuff here, but now, its all gone cuz i'm a retard.

sounds like a bad solenoid or starter control circuit almost.. don't think its battery because it IS cranking, and normally, if it cranks, (at a normal RPM) it'll start..

normally..

could possibly be the anti-theft circuit as well.. i dunno.. could be a few different things.. post up, don't give up, and take your time.

go very carefully thru the killswitch circuit again.. try not just to plug new parts in and hope it works.. a blown fuse in indicative of a deeper problem.

if you DO give up, let me know. i'll PM you my address and you can ship your bike (and title) to me.

welcome to KF!!
