06 636 Down
Ok so for the last time i went down on the street on my 06 because of some dump ****ing idiot, i ripped the rear set right out the frame, no good there, i am goin all track, but am looking for some advice on what to do mod wise
The one thing that worries me the most is the fact that my right side rear set was ripped out of the threads in the frame, can this cause a prob? i have a bmc race filter a arata slip on a driven 520 chain conversion the jumper mod and the kleen mod
Did it strip out the threads in the hole? If so you can see about re-tapping them. Buy an adjustable rear set it will give you more ground clearence as well after you get the issue fixed.
I bilive it literaly ripped the threads out of the frame, and now im like **** its gonna be jerry rigged, i wanna be able to use the stock screws tho, with out bein ghetto, what will the track require form me, i have done about 3 track days but dont remember what the yrequired
You might be able to get a tap and die set and re tap the holes. I am not to keen on what is required for track day but I know they check tire wear cain and sprocket wear Also do a basic fluids check. Besides that I would ask speedracer138 he use to race bikes and still does from time to time I think. But I am sure there are others on here that will help you out. I am hopefully going to do my first track day in July at Jennings. But try to tap the holes back to the stock size. It may or may not work depending on how bad they are stripped out.
if your un able to retap your holes out to the stocks size. then try what they call a part called a helikal (i think that the right speeling) and see if that helps. I know we use them on the navy ships evry once and a while if we strip out bolts in something.
