Default 05 ZX6R

Just wanted to see what people think about the new 05. The end of this season I was really considering trading my 03 for the 05. Is this a smart move? Give me some opinions. Maybe some comparision.

I never owned anything else before this bike so I can't tell you anything about the comparison of the two generations, but I can say that it does have alot of features that weren't available for the earlier models. A buddy of mine who has an older ZX9R keeps looking at the bike and seeing nothing but stuff that he says are more updated for riding hard then whats on his bike.

I'm still breaking mine in, had it since this past Saturday and so far have 105 miles on it. I can't get enough of that bike! Definately can't wait till I can open her up!

Thanks for the info! I think I might think about it more after this season.

my second bike (first being a yzf600r) and this bike rocks. I have 2300 miles on it, having some clutch issues (engine does not disengage from tranny immediately after clutch lever pull). Minor problem covered under warranty if it doesn't work itself out i'm sure. Other than that, change the oil OFTEN as it's very smooth shifting transmission does not like to stay smooth for long without proper lubrication. @ 2300 miles ive changed it about 4 times. Once with synthetic (mistake) the rest with kawi oil.

Great bike, like riding a computer. Hate the tach on the other hand. It seems like a cool idea at first but it's a piece of crap during any practical riding. Daylight, forget looking down you can't see it, plus the windscreen is in the way.

Funny how the most complaint on that bike is the tach, but I have yet to have a problem seeing it through out the day. Then again, I have a clear visor.

What do you mean out long enough for people to judge it like that???? you can look/ride it ONCE and tell that. sorry but i HATE the fuking tac and the windscreen IS in my way. Probably the only complaints about the bike, except when ur wheeling and from 1st to 2nd it wants to go to neutral.
