Default 05 Rear view prolems

Hey Guys just wondering if any of you encounter this same problem. On the 05 ZX6 its seems pretty hard to see exactly behind you when riding, i kida of have to lefto my hand of the handle bar to see whats going on behind me the mirors only show the side but i like seeing whats going on behind ( incase you chips or Highway patrol or behind) on my older ZX7R i can see perfectly to the sides and perfectly behind me. Does any one have a solution for this ? Please share if you do , or is it just me that cant get the mirrors in the correct position.

Hey, I think we all have pretty much had the same experience with the wonderfull mirrors. I think pre 94 bikes are out of luck, but 94 and after seem to be able to get some use out of the zx6 mirrors. I am unable to use them because I have a 91 ex500, so I'm stuck haveing to look over my shoulder when I make a move. It's very difficult to adjust both mirrors for the best rear sightline.
Sorry. There are some links and messages on other boards that tell you exactly which mirrors will work. Even pictures, try that.

I know we have completely different bikes, but here is how I handle the rear view problem. I have my mirrors adjusted the best that I can, I don't have to lift my hand off the bars but if I tuck my elbows in as close to my ribs as I can, I can see pretty good behind me. I don't know if that helps you or not but its just a thought

You might want to play around with your mirrors though. I pop the bike up on the centre stand and fiddle around with them.

My freinds have a hard time seeing on their 636, but they also have really big shoulders. I sometime have a hard time and I don't have big shoulders, I just adjust as best as I can and sometimes you have to move around to see. Yeah, it sucks, but what do you expect when your vehicle is almost as wide as you. lol

I have to tuck in my elbows too. I mostly have my mirrors set so I can see from a tucked position (45 mile daily highway commute to work) When I'm around town, I'm actually looking at the tires of the cars next to me in that position.
