I know that on the 03-04 there was a problem with loose clamps but that was causing leak and would cause overheating also. Check your clamps and radiator cap to make sure it's sealing good.

My bike was running hot untill it did a couple of wheelies (accidentally of course) and I guess all the trapped air got worked up to the top/ radiator. Now it's running cooler. It only got up to 214 while stuck in traffic. I still have Engine Ice in it.

thats the most awesome way to prevent air pockets in your cooling systems. kawasaki tsb: ride wheelies at least every 600 miles to prevent overheating. hahahah
