Default 05-06 636 wheels on my 03 636

I am wanting to put a set of wheels from an 05 or 06 on my 03. I have heard that it will work and that it will not. I have also heard that I will have to change the swing arm and the forks. If so will the swing arm and rear shock simple swap out? If I have to change the forks, will the 05 forks fit in the 03 triple clamp? Front and rear breaks, any mods to these?

If anyone has any info on this please let me know.

Welcome To the forum. I have already done this to my bike and it works great. You can use your stock forks with stock 03 rotors or upgrade to 05-06 rotors and use caliper spacers or 05-06 forks too. The rear wheel swap will require eiher wheel spacers or 05-06 swingarm. Let me know when you get ready to do this. I may have some parts or can get everything together for you. In the meantime, you can look at the pics in my gallery to see how it looks. Here's a pic:

Man that is sweet. So the 05 swing arm just bolts up to the 03 frame. Can the exhaust be routed behind the rearset through the swing arm like the 05's?

Pretty much a Bolt-On application. You have to swap the RH swingarmpivot seal & collar with your 03 and use 2 5mm spacers on the dogbones. You will have to use 05-06 wheels with this swingarm.
