04 636 wont start

if the clutch is bad the bike will jump forward trying to start it. My bike liked to roll on its own haha until I changed the clutch. You can get halfway decent Barnett clutch kits on eBay for $150 which is super easy to change. All you do is take off the case cover remove the plates and put them back in the same order and replace the springs its impossible to mess up haha

wow i didnt kno that would happen thank you for letting me kno, ill look into it and c if that might be the problem

hope everything works out for you sounds like the clutch is bad to me. time to change it out and make sure to readjust the cable after the install since the new clutch will possibly engaged in a different postion.

be careful of how the plates come off, i almosted messed it up on my 98. make sure to torque the spring bolts too. good luck
