Default 03-04 Rear Fairings

Hey everyone, well great news. [:@] My dad backed his truck up into my bike the other day and the bike dropped. Luckly the only things that broke were the left peg and the rear fairing cracked under riders seat.

I've been going on EBay to find a rear fairing, but I keep finding f@cked up fairing too. (I have a broken one, I'm not looking to purchase a broken one too) Didn't know if anyone knew of a view sites I can go check out some OEM parts.

(PS, yes I've seen those hot race styles one, but I'm not sure if that's what I want, so I am looking for a stock piece with two seats)

Sorry about your mishap

I found a tail section on ebay for an 03-04 that just has a few scratches, it will still need to be painted to match your bike. There are always foot peg assemblies on ebay as well.

Can you post a picture of the damage to your tail section?

Another option is to have your tail section repaired. The plastic can be welded, filled and repainted to be like new. The cost should be less than buying a new one at the dealer.

I am in the process of repairing my bike from a fairly high speed lowside. I am going to do all the repair work myself so I purchased a plastic welder and all the epoxy fillers required for doing the repair. I have painted a few cars in my past so the body and paint work should be straight forward for me. Besides, I need to paint the race plastics that I never had a chance to install.

Good luck,
Mike
