Default power commander problem

Hey All, Picked up a brand new '06 14R this week. What anawesome bike but of coursestill not enough. Put a muzzy sidewinder on an a powercommanderIII. All went great with the mapping until i fired the bike.Lit right off and stalled. Would not start again. One thing we noticed is theRPM's were reading 6500 when the key was on.My buddy thinks we got a bum PCIII. The bike runs fine off the PCIII. Anyhelp would begreat. Thanks, Carl

P.S. Oh Yeah, I also removed the secondary plates.

Default RE: power commander problem

I just bought a powercommander and installed it today and had the same problem. What my problem was is that ground wire I did`nt ground it where they said to. After I went through and grounded it where they said to it ran just fine. Dont know if this is your problem but check it out.

I think that the majority of the PCIII troubleshooting is solved with either a loose quick connect, a bunched up grommet on a connection, or a loose ground wire.
