i am considering selling my zx10 and getting a 14. But, what are the main differences if any with the 07 and 08 zx14? does the 07 have a gear indicator also? thanks

I don't thinks its 10hp, possibly 3-4. I have actually seen side by side dyno pulls on an 06 and 08 and the 06 had more hp with flys out than the 08. Keep in mind the 06 and 07 are the same.Slightly better midrange on the stock 08 due to secondary fly timing, many people remove them anyway. I have an 07 with the flys still in, plenty strong and I think more predictable that way.
I could of gotten a 08 off the showroom floor but since both years are about identical with the o7 flies out, less weight and less smog restricted, I got the 07..oh and saved a couple thousand dollars that I'll be putting on the bike.
Like the rest of the fellows mentioned. The differences are pretty much negligable. The angle of the fuel injectors has been changed a tiny bit. They threw a nice hot chunk of catalytic converter into the end of the collector pipe, as well as the ones in the stock cans. They also managed to make the header a bit more free flowing on the 08. They programmed the secondary plates to open sooner (still not as soon as not being in there). If you're looking at either bike, and color isn't a huge deal to you then it is definately a wash. Go with the cheaper bike hands down. ESPECIALLY if you have any plans at all of getting rid of the stock exhaust.
The red 06's are the fastest......LOL. The 08's lose it on top end as it takes it a long time to get to top speed because of the remap. The Busa will pullthe 08on top end real fast.
