I recently purchased a Hotbodies undertail fender elimanator for my 04' zx-10(blue). The brackets for mounting suck, and the placement does too!(you can only put them in one spot, so it seems) Can anyone help me?

 

Just a question, I helped my buddy put his on and i must say that the fit really sucked. It was on a zx10 05. Did yours fit good? Even after we were done it was off just enough to notice. I left before the plate bracket was installed, but i think he put his plate as far back as he could, by the shock. We also put on euro signals and let me tell you that it took about 2hrs comapred to my 636 which took about an halfhour. I cant beleive how different the plastic is on those 2 bikes!!!!!!!!!

 

Thanks for the reply, and yes the fit sucked!! The tape was cut way too thick and I can' t believe they would send it out knowing it doesn't fit. Quite a design flaw, but the damn thing looks good. I used a small bolt by the tail light, the bolt they send is too long, and the magic answer to the gap is: Two-part apoxy and three clamps. It now fits flush with tail and I just did this today. Whew! I was starting to get pissed with the way it looked. The plate placement is still giving me trouble. I really don't want to drill.....but I am sure Ill have to. What about having the plate too close to the tire hugger? I loved my 636!! not quite as much as my 10!

 

Do you have pictures of what you put on? I just got an 06 10R and I looking into gettin a replacement plate holder. Can you show me pictures if you can?
