Red face new sprocket

just bought a new smaller front sprocket, down one tooth so now im at 14 on the front and know im going lose a little top end but was wondering just how much? im in a lose/win situation

I don't think you'll lose that much, maybe 5 mph. You can check it out here...

I did that mod on my '07 about 2 years ago. I love the way it takes off now-not as much clutch slipping required. I have never tested the top speed of the bike, so I can't help you on that one. There was a slight drop in fuel economy, but not enough to bother me.

You may not lose any top speed at all. The bike may rev to a higher RPM in 6th with the smaller sprocket on the front.
