Default maybe il have soem luck this time.

well im finally out of high school and just starting a pretty decent full time job. so i may finnally be able to afford a bike. i dont have the cash upfront, but i can do payments pretty easy. looking at a new 08 650r, kbb has it for 5200, but i doubt id ever get that from a dealer as the going price seems to be 6200. my problem is im young, and isurance companies decided that they hate me lol. i also have very little credit history so i cant take the 6500 out from a personal loan, and pay basic coverage. whats the lowest coverage i can have and stil finance from a dealer? also you guys have a company who might show a little mercy?

thanks alot.

you might have to go with a cheaper bike :/ i got a loan through a credit for 2800 bought my bike for 3500 and put 1200 down. insurance is cheap. the bank makes you have full coverage. but its only like 30-50 bucks a month. so look at an older 650..or 500 maybe. or have someone cosign for the 08

I pay about $236 every six months for full coverage on my 650r through StateFarm Insurance.

well i talked to a dealer, he said i don't need full coverage and that basic would be fine, i got pretty excited and had him run my credit. shouldn't of gotten excited, i was declined for lack of history, so looks like im out of luck again. but just out of curiosity what do you guys think would of been a good deal. talking otd price.

yeah, thats my opinion, cheaper bike, lower insurance...maybe you have bad driving history and thats why its so high. idk why they want you to pay 200

Hmmm....I'm 24 and before I was 18 I had 36 points on my license. I have had a clean driving record for the past three years though but I only pay a little over $600 a year for full comp/collision insurance for my 650R.
