Default 2014 Ninja 650 Dying

Trying to see if this problem has happened to anyone else and, if so, what steps I can take to fix it. I have had a 2014 Ninja 650 for about a year. It has a manual key for it however, any time I walk near the bike with my keys in my pocket, the dash indicators (like abs, the neutral light, etc) light up. The whole dash doesn't light up, just these indicator lights. I am now on my third battery because my batteries keep dying and to the point where they are unable to be charged back up. Certainly I don't just keep getting bad batteries? I have convinced myself that these lights coming on all the time I am near the bike are killing it. Am I doing something wrong here? The kill switch is always off when the bike is parked, the handlebars are locked, and I try to remember to always put it in 1st gear. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Are you the first owner for this ride? A 2014 model, so most likely not the first owner. Do you know the history of this ride?
