Default spacer, front engine mounting bolt

Does the spacer go on the left or right side of the bike?

Thanks.
-Joe.

Not sure to which spacer your referring.
Do you have a copy of the factory service manual? That usually shows exploded parts diagrams, outlining where everything goes.
~OR~ you can go to www.buykawasaki.com, navigate to the EX500/Ninja 500R Parts Diagrams. (Sorry I can't post a link in here, because those diagrams are php-based.)
Good luck and let us know how it goes,

the front mounting bolt has a spacer about an inch long that looks like a small thread spool. I'll check out the online exploded parts view and let you know what I find. Thanks Chris.

The parts diagram shows the part, but not the engine, lol so it's ambiguous whether it goes on the left or right. When I check the wiring diagrams tonight I'll check and see if the FSM or supplement has more info. Thanks for helping me remember I actually have 'em!

The haynes manual, online parts diagram, and the manual and supplement show like the spacer *might* go on the left side, but it is still not entirely clear. If someone could take a look at their bike and let me know what side it is on that would be great.

Thanks.
