Be careful with the disc lock if you for get about it down you will go. I think the best security is a pager alert alarm and a locater so the cops can fid the bike before it is disassembled.

If you are going to buy a bike cover - since the bike is outside, I think you should spring for the best one you can get. You don't want moisture getting trapped under the cover, and you want it to fit real well so it doesn't flap around in the wind and scratch up your paint. Personally, I think you should get the other stuff you need first and worry about a bike cover later......the weather isn't going to hurt the bike that much.

im personally getting a cover just to keep the kids off my bike and it also takes that much longer for the theifs to steal it. i already have a disk lock with a reminder on it which i must recomend because if u forget ur gonna eat asphalt. it also helps to always park it in a way where u always need to back up, its better to fall then instead of in gear. id also like to get a chain. all in all, insurance is my favorite weapon.

kinda sucks cause the rotor(s) are showing a little rust, aswell as the chain, that's why i need that cover. but in any event, i'm going to the dmv now, not sure if i'm gonna take the permit test, i haven't got a book to study, anyone know how long you hafta wait if you fail it the first time?
