I am in need of a new upper fairing and headlight as my once treated-like-crap used 500R was beat down was crashed by the previous owner.

I fashioned some new headlight mounting brackets using some metal strapping, but the fairing is cracked in several places and getting worse. I want to get a new upper fairing but they are so expensive. Also I'd need a new headlight since the frame of the headlight unit has no working corners after the crash.

Where can I get a good replacement upper fairing without breaking the bank? Truthfully I'm not opposed to doing some sort of streetfighter kit or something like that either - but I want something that's going to work well.

Any recommendations?

 

They always seem to come up when I search under "EX500" on Ebay. They're not painted and probably not the same gauge as the OEM, but OEM fairings are always in demand and therefore always expensive.

what year? i have some from a 1g that i would be willing to sell you for a reasonable price
