Need some help here....

Ok, earlier tonight I took my 2003 ninja 500r to a friend's house to watch the basketball games. When I went to leave, my bike wouldn't start for me, so I put the choke on and it started up. However, when I went to pull out it stalled out. I thought that was odd, but then I started t up again and it started just fine, but when I went to pull out again- it stalled. I have never had problems with it starting or stalling before. Any ideas as to what the problem might be? Thanks for the help!

Im a pretty new rider but when trying to leave Chik-fil-a once, every time I put it in first gear to drive off I would stall out. I finally looked down after 3-4 times and saw my kickstand was down. Turns out this was the problem. (not a problem) This is actually a very good saftey feature.. you don't want your kick stand out like that when trying to make a left hand turn!! Hope this was your problem.

I don't think it was the kickstand, but I could be wrong. To me it never sounded like it was running well, sounded like it was going to stall at any time- even while I was just stilling on it without putting it in gear. Then when I put it in gear it gave out.

I went and picked it up today, and it did the same thing in that it didnt sound like it was running at full power, but when I gave a it a lot of gas I was able to roll out and from there it was fine. Thanks for the help guys, ( I hope I am not stupid enough to have it be something so simple-but maybe I am).
