Default lowering questions

i was wondering how hard, and what would have to be done, to lower a bike for a shorter rider. next summer im thinking about getting a 600, but im 5'7" and dont know how comfortable i would be with the higher seat height. anyone have any experience with this?

thanks

Lowering your current 500 or your future 600?
Just loosen the lockring and reduce the preload.
And perhaps drop your forks in the triple clamps, so the bike doesn't feel like a chopper.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Peace!

I'm in the same boat as you, at 5'6", the 500's 30" seat height keeps me on toes. Down the road when I get a bigger bike, I know I'm gonna need to lower it. Let me know how this goes for you and such. Thanks.

well when you get your 600 just look for some lowering dog bones for the back if you can't lower it with adjusting the rear shock enought to meet your needs. it's not to hard to do. i did it for a buddy of mine a little while ago.
