Default Hard Top Case and Rack for EX500

See the picture below: is this a good upgrade? Any setbacks? Does the bike feel different as far as handling goes? Thanks in advance to all for your expert inputs.

It would be awesome to have all that extra space to throw stuff in. My only issue is how goofy those giant trunks look like on any bike.

For me, I would probably go for a soft fabric container of some sort.

I have that rack and a givi box, i think a 35l case, in plain black. Lots of room and easy to pop on/off, turn a key and push a button. Jim.

I have one from SAHD. 44 Litres!! It's big onought to store two modular helmets (the reason why I bought it). I only use it when going out for dinner or to the cinema with my girlfriend. Not in everyday use. I has a quick relase system.

It does affect the hadling of the bike, specially on windy days, but not too much. It's very usefull.

Those SAHD cases look very nice. A lot of the cases I see for sale in the US are pretty cheap looking.

Positive feedback entirely. Thanks all. 100 % sure: I'm ordering this piece--makes life easier. Never heard of SAHD before (I've heard of GIVI though.) I tried googling SAHD but I don't think they've distributors here in US.

Gracias again!

We can get you the rack for your GPZ 500 from Hepco Becker. The rear rack is $135.00 and the saddlebag mounts which includes the rear rack is $246.00. Sorry for the delay I have been in Germany.
Thank you,
Chris

These guys, see above, have hard cases and mounts. They may have what you are looking for.

Great site (I've saved it under my favorites.) I noticed your HQ is in Chicago. BTW, Chris, how do I know if the rack you guys sell is compatible with GIVI's hard topcase or any other for that matter?

P.S. The sexy part of the top cases, IMO, is that it comes with brake light--making the bike even more visible to steel caged motorists--lol

Wish I had seen the Hepco Becker rack a few weeks ago, the option to add side cases would heve been nice. Day late N a dollar short as the Givi was all I could find, d@mn!

BTW, found cheaper bar risers at (motorcycle larry . com), $69 rather that 120 from genmar, set on the way. Jim.
