Default Coolant Hoses

So I get home from work today and notice a random hose running down the right side of my frame to nowhere.

First a definition: When I say Right Side I mean when sitting on the bike facing forward, on the right side.

It appears that it is running from the vacinity or directly from the coolant resevoir along the frame to....

I didn't notice this hose when I first purchased the bike, so all I can figure is that when I hit a hard bump earlier today I knocked it out of its original routing.

Does anyone know what this hose is for and how it should be routed and what it belongs to?

By the way, the bike seems to be running right now so I'm guessing it isn't absolutely required for the operation of the vehicle.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Just sounds like the overflow hose bro. Take off hyour plastics to get a better look and you will probably find the retainer clips for it or just tuck it back in.

I pulled off the side panels and couldn't find any obvious clips or hooks to hold it in place, I really didn't want to pull the front fairing as I don't have a good repair manual yet. It would suck to pull that all off then not be able to put it all back together again. In the meantime I have run the hose along the frame, threw a zip tie on it to hold it away from the carbs and heads (don't want to melt it) an ran it out the back to one side of the shock, similar to the tank overflow hose routing. I rode the bike yesterday after all this and it ran just fine. So I've come to the conclusion it is probably just the overflow for the coolant resevoir and the current hose routing will be sufficient to keep any fluids from going where the just do not belong.

Thanks for the feedback NotStock.

No problem bro.

You should order the service manual for your bike they are invaluable to have.
