exactly. They don't have their best traction when brand new, they take some break in.

I've read an argument that it's the change of the profile of the tire, old flatted vs new nicely rounded, that gets people in trouble. Just food for thought. I see alot of people here run the BT 45. I seen advertising that claims that is a "Dual Tread Compound". I flat my tires with my commute more that wear them out. What kind of mileage are you getting with the Bridgestones? I've just hit 18,000 miles and I'm on my third rear tire, Michelin Activ's.

michilen tires are generally a softer compound tire which equals a much better ride...so they will wear out alot faster. as far as battlax bt45's mine are 16's and ive got 10k miles and these are the originals are far as i can tell
