I have a new 06' 500 and I love it, but i have one small dislike about it. I have a hard time seeing directly behind me in my mirrors, although i get a good few of my arms. I have read in other forums about this same probleme. Does anyone know of mirrors that I can swap mine out with without making any mods ? I read somewhere that zx6 mirrors work but in pictures the arms dont look to be any longer. can anyone tell me if they are in fact better or if anyone has this mod?

 

I am currently in the same boat as you. I have a new '07 500R and love it. However, those mirrors suck. So I am looking too. ZZR600 (05-07) are direct replacements. ZZ6R/ZZ9R (98-02) seem to be a direct replacement as well but I don't have any proof of that (yet).

Not only are they supposed to provide a better side/rear view then the 500R mirrors, but they look a hell of a lot better!!!

Go for the 02-03 ZX6R/9R (& 05-07 ZZR600) OEM Mirrors.
They're lower, wider, vibrate less, they bolt on with no modification or adaptors and I think they look a lot less dorky than the stockers.
