hey guys, i need to buy a new right mirror for the bike i just picked up. Whats the best mod for the 89 ex500 as far as mirrors go? I was just gonna get the emgo replacement, bet then i read that you should widen them. Should i just get the right mirror plus extensions or should i buy a different set of mirrors. The part numbers are different, so I wouldn't chance it with the Emgo.
I received an email from someone who took their pre-94 stock mirrors to a dealership to compare them with a 94+ model and the mating is different.
So if you need an immediate answer, I would say go with the stocker and the extension.

just FYI new hampshire only requires one mirror on the left side.

 

Not much help, but I have the 91 EX500 and I found nothing out there. I was told a while back that there wasn't a mod mirror for that bike, but I can't be 100% sure. As hard as I tried,I got frustrated and decided to jsut turn my head and look beforemaking lane changes just ot be on the safe side. SORRY

 

Well, i went ahead and ordered the mirrors for the 98-02 zx6r, i couldn't find an exact answer anywhere online, but i'm hoping i'll be able to rig em on, if not i'll return em and get the stock mirrors with extenders. They should be in in a few days, and i'll post a reply for other people trying to figure this out

 

well, the zx6r mirrors don't fit an 89 ex500, the bolts and the angles are different. I'm going to return them and go with the stock ones
