The bike will do 80 all day long without complaining. Probably 90 too if you're riding in someplace like Montana or Nevada and know all the highway patrol officers.

Bike feels very stable at any speed. You definately sit more upright on the 500r more than most other bikes so you should be able to ride for comfortably, but it definately is different for different people. My hands always feel weird after riding for a little bit and my back did hurt the first few times. Back is fine now, but hands still tingle for some odd reason. I definately feel the wind when i go over 70, but you can always tuck down. I have my first 100 mile ride down to NJ this friday (all highway), so I will see how 2 hours at 70+ feels like...

I ride 97 miles each way to work every day of the week. 70% of that travel is on the freeway (405 in SoCal). I use the carpool lane to maximize my speed during the rush hour commute. My speed on the freeway ranges from 45-85Mph. I have to tell you, like the previous post, above 65, the wind starts to blast pretty bad. I have to tuck down if I hit above 80Mph for any length of time. I am ordinger a Zero Gravity "Sport Touring" wind screen for my 2007 500R, and I am hoping that will be just enough extra lip so that I can run at 80 without having to tuck. Another option for some is to shave down your seat, or order a custom seat from Corbin.

I have hit 110Mph on the bike and it was stable. I have heard a lot of people running in the 120's without any problem.

Dam the F-05 sorry bro. Are you going into the valley or around the South Bay curve?

It has been published at 3.78 secs 0-60. However, to the average Joe, it will probably be more like the low 4's.

That's faster than 98% of all production cars!

Watch out for Porche 911 turbos, Corvettes, Lamborghinis, AMG Benzos, Ford GT's, Ferrari's and such.

They will give you a run for the money...going straight that is!
