today i went into the local bike shop to check out the bikes, im looking for a first bike so i was looking at the 250. in the showroom was an 07 zzr250, the sales was going on about how the 250 would save so much on insurance because it is called a zzr250 instead if a ninja 250r, so i went home and i looked online at the kawasaki website and noticed that the 07 is listed as the zzr250 and the 08 is listed as a ninja 250r. i know they are both the same bike and are both ninjas. but i was wondering if itd be alright to tell the insurance company that it is an 08 zzr250. which is kinda is.... but on the 07 zzr250 no where on the body did it have the word ninja. but on the 08 it seems to be stickered everywhere.... so what should i do? i do not wanna pay extra for the same bike because they came out with a new label for it..... hmmm...

second. the 08 ninja is a ninja, it is race oriented more than the older version.
i am looking at getting an 08 so i already got a quote for the insurance.
through foremost an 08 ninja 250r is $7.00 a month for liability and like $30.00 for full coverage i dont think insurance is going to be a problem seeing how for my 06 zx636 full coverage is $2000.00 a year

 

If you do get the zzr250, make sure that the insurance company does not place the Ninja label in the write up!

the insurance company may not be wise in the labeling yet if you picked up the Ninja 250. Not sure.

 

don't they look at the vin? i bet that they allrady know?
