i hope it comes out as well, but honestly it probably wont, here in the us it is all about big numbers, big cc, big hp and so on, (don’t get me wrong i would love to have a zx10r or a z1000) but the US mentality is different from the rest of the world

it would be cool if they did release it because it would probably have the a similar 4 cylinder as the ZXR250, and that is a cool high revving engine(wishful thinking)

yeah but look at it this way... the 250, 500 and 600cc forums on here are the most popular... there are tons of 250 fan websites, everyone who has ridden one thinks its one of the best bikes to ride, its almost legendary here in the states, if they advertise it correctly, it could be huge

Good point. Alot of riders in the US are "sheep" buyers that are only interested in the biggest baddest 800-pound super cruiser that gets worse fuel ecomomy than alot of cars, or the 180mph race rocket that you'll never need to use 1/3 of its power on the street anyway.

Its our american "bigger is better" mentality and it prevents smaller bikes from selling well over here. Look at the U.K. sites for Yamaha, Kawi, Honda, Suzuki and you will see lots of really cool looking bikes in the 250-650cc range that will never make it accross the pond. And its a damn shame if you asked me. The europeans appriciate the practicality of these bikes since gas is 2-3 times as expensive over there.

Thats problably why people would buy big bikes here. If gas was 5-6 a gallon we would see a lot more bikes on the road during riding season. And a lot more compact cars then what there are now.

Heck in AZ 7 out of 10 vehicles sold are trucks. And I don't know why you don't really need them a whole lot out here.

Ian,
thatis exactly my point, i like all bikes, but small bike are cool. and after riding my 250r i have been hooked,

i know that in the UK they had a CBR250RR that had an engine that would rev all the way up to 18,000 rpm but that never made it here either.. Yamaha has a nice 50cc street legal bike with a 4 speed tranny that could be cool to ride but they just dont bring them over here, i thik it is called a DT50
