O.K. so i went to the motorcycle shop and sized up the 250 as well as some bigger bikes and honestly the 250 seemed to feel the most comfortable as far as size, comfort, and weight.

I'm 5'-11" tall and weigh 240 lbs. so i am a big guy? As far as power etc, will i be o.k. on a 250 and this is my first bike btw.

im about 5'-11" and 170 lbs and its perfect for me, and if its your first bike, go with the 250, its my first one too, and its perfect cause of the weight its easy to move around and the speed is good for this bike...

 

If it is what feels the most comfortable to you - I don't think you can go wrong with it! You're going to want a bike that you feel comfortable on, and its a great starter bike (heck its even a great bike to stick with if that is what you want!)

i thought a 250 would be awesome, but i'm 6'0, 175lbs and a 500 feels great. i think if you weigh 250 you might want the 500......the size (height) isn't much different, but it will give you more power, i think a 250 would be too small......try sitting on a 500 and see how it feels.

I also thought about that and as im sure the 500 will give me more power i did sit on a 500 as well and when i leaned it back and forth the same way as i did the 250 it felt really hevy and i was most comfortable on the 250. But i have actually ridden a '03 R1 and so i know once the bike is moving it tends to feel lighter but i will probably get the 250 and if its not enough which im sure it will be i will trade up to a 500.
