ok so I just got home from streets of woodfield and strats (if ur from chicago area you know what im talking about), and was out racing the 08 250 !!
so far im very impressed. launching im still getting used to but droppin the clutch at 8k rpm seems to work pretty well. I wAS able to take a subura wrx by 1 or 2 car legnths! so either i had good run or wrx had bad run, or the 250 is faster than i thought!
my bike has 700 miles on it and running pretty good

the only problem i am having is when i come to a stop really fast, my engine dies/chokes. WHY WOULD THIS BE?

and anyone else have some good racing stories>?

 

My first thought would be to ride the 250 like it's meant to be ridden....and not trying to race anything on the street. Just my .02 [:@]

 

what do you mean ride it like its meant to be ridden?! isnt the kawasaki 250 engine made to handle high revs?

 

take it to the track, youll be alot safer and youl learn to be a much better rider on a track where you can actually use all the bike has to offer. Also around here street racing is basicly light to light, wich the 250 is not good at. These bikes are great on a road course. Take a racing class and go have fun where its legal and safer...
I dont mean to come off as a holier than thou type because im not. Everybody has dont the stop light to stop light rips up to 60 and has seen how fast their bike will go on the super slab. Just dont make a habit of it is all im saying.

If this "street racing" wasn't sactioned, then your a moron and you deserve to have the bike blow up on you! As if bikes arent dangerous enough then you go and race on the street! Idiots!!! I see it all the time around here. People with no gear, thinking there tough. If it was sanctioned, good job! the bike will beat 70-80% of the cars on the road.

 

It can, but the 250R is much more fun to ride fast in the twisties than merely racing stop light to stop light. That's what Busa's are for....(I guess). 'Sides that, take care of your bike. I've owned two ZRX1200R's in the past and don't miss either one of them now....but they were very quick (and heavy as hell)....
