where did you get those front signals? And did you black out the lense yourself?
I got the turn signals on ebay from this guy,you can contact him and tell him which color you want and if you want amber or clear lenses. They fit great, and the shipping was quick.

And, yes I tinted the clear lenes myself, alonf with my tail lights, here is the how to I wrote up for it.

Nice. On the smoke issue. What did the plugs tell you?

Was just curious on the plug read/color. Pulling the plugs and seeing oil, or were they dk brown, light brown, that is what I meant on reading the plugs.
ah, ic, I'll pull them and take a look. I'll proly have to take a picture and post it.

So I finally got the bike running, and was able to get the title situated after a long wait, no thanks to the NYS DMV. I had a short yet satisfying ride season, mostly in fairly cold weather before the snow hit. I removed the insurance from the bike, and put it away for the winter months. I removed the battery, drained the carbs/ gas tank, and removed the seat. I used a heavy duty tarp and wrapped it all up nice and cozy for the next few months. Is there anything else I should be doing for the winterization?

Here are a few pics of how it turned out. Pretty good for rebuilding my first bike I think.

I put her on the road a few weeks ago, but only have been able to take it out once. It's been too cold. I have a friend that owns a body shop and has offered to paint the bike for the cost of materials. What color should I go with. I was thinking about keeping the flat black, but have it done with real paint instead of the rattle can flat it is now. Or shouldI do some other color? Something wild? I kinda like the flat black. Any ideas?

Good work! Looking nice.

Make sure it's smooth, paint some graphics over that?

I know that chameleon paint would be nice to do in a design over a black, then clear it.

I'd mess around with some vehicles on NFS Most wanted, or underground. Kinda get a feel for the colors and what you like. I know I love the Mustang with that blood red pearl metallic, gun metal metallic, or the Ford Blue pearl metallic. When I'm switching the colors on Most Wanted to keep my heat down, I switch between those three.

I've always been partial to my brother's green he had on his old Cavalier. It only really shows in bright sunlight. These are the only pictures I've seen of his that don't look black. It's a black base, with pearlescent green metallic over it.

If he's gonna do it for a few hundred, I'd go wild, but not too wild. You want to remember how much it would cost to repair or replace paint, should anything happen. My brother has done repairs to his with no problems. That trunk had bolt holes in it, and his fender was crushed by his wheel flying off at one point. First three pics are after the paint was repaired and some body work fixed after a few years of being driven. Not bad for a salvaged car.

Looks great, man. If you haven't seen them already, I really like these mirrors I found on ebay. They make it look about a thousand percent sportier than those paddles that come stock on them.

I had the carbon fiber ones. Kinda cheap and cheesey, but they looked good enough. Just weren't fun to put on, and I busted one when I laid my bike down. Bought most of my aftermarket parts through that guy.
