I found a local 250 being parted out in the next few days, and I want to know what parts I should get. Some of the stuff I can possibly get cheap, and they would be nice to keep around if I may need them, since I wouldn't pay shipping. Just interested in what parts people have modified to gain performace or just frequently need replacing, so I would be in good shape by keeping some extras. Probably getting the chain and some misc. parts if they go cheap. Engine, frame, and body panels are out, since it has been laid down, and has damage in the same places mine does, and a couple other parts are too expensive.

A little more thorough on the performance question would be, should I pick up the air box and maybe gut it out? Or the carb to work on some cleaning.

Let me know if you guys think anything that would be good to pick up.

 

if you like used parts. i suggest that you make an offer for $100.00 for everything. from there just use what you need but from my experience, my 92 only needed fresh oil and all other required maintenance no other parts needed replacement.
