Default My crash

well i have been riding my 08 ninja 250 for a month now and i am sad to say thati went down yesterday. i was ridingup north where the twisties are and took a corner too quick. i panicked once i realized that i wouldnt make the turn and applied the breaks.i remember hitting the ground and rolling once or twice. its weird cuz i could see and hear the bike sliding as i rolled. i quickly got up and the first thing that i was thinking bout was my bike. i was wearing only my gloves, jacket and helmet. needless to say i cut open my knee pretty bad. luckily i was riding with a buddy of mine and he is the one who called the tow truck helped calm me down. my pants were all ripped up but luckily i didnt hit my head at all and the other gear protected me from any further road rash. i was lucky though cuz it could have been much worse. just remember not to underestimate your bikes and be careful out there. hopefully ill get it fixed soon...

It's a good thing you were wearing your gear, and at least you're ok! Don't feel too bad, about 2 1/2 weeks ago I laid my bike out to. And like you did, my first thought when I got up was how is the bike.
Glad you're ok! Did the bike get hurt bad?

Does your knee look like this:

That's mine after Sept. 2nd last year. Same scenario, wearing helmet, jacket, and gloves. took about 8 weeks to heal! And I have an ugly scar on the knee now too.

Check out the AlpineStar Reflex Knee guards - I just got some some and you can wear 'em under your jeans. Better than nothing!

Glad to hear you're OK! You'll be back - smarter for the experience. Just take it easy, especially when you're in an area you're not familiar with.

thats right.. we always need a carnage shot..

glad you're ok tho man!!! i've seen tht happen, and its as scary for me as a witness as it is when you're flipping across the tarmac at 50mph for 40'( oh.. i know.. lol trust me.)

we've all been down, or are making our way to it, sir..

this conjures up some vivid memories..lol of both witnessing crashes and almost doing the same trying to play with the big dogs when i was a newbie..
