KEY LOST!!! KEY CODE LOCATION??
Hello,
I am new here. I just bought a Ninja 250 and after my first lesson and ride, I have managed to lose my key!!! Can someone tell me if the number code I located on the ignition is infact the key code used to cut another key? It is located on top of the ignition box.
Thanks for any reply in advance,
Jada

RE: KEY LOST!!! KEY CODE LOCATION??
when I got my bike I got two keys and a tag that had the key code on it.
the number on the ignition is just a manufacturing number for the lock cylinder.
As far as I know there is no ID number on the bike..
there is a spot in the owners manual were the owner would write the key code down.. I know I did... maybe the previous owner did this too...

RE: KEY LOST!!! KEY CODE LOCATION??
JSUT TAKE YOUR IGNITION SYSTEM OFF, IT HAS A CONNECTOR ON THE BACK AND TWO ALLEN SCREWS HOLDIN IT ON, U GOTTA GET THEM FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE IGNITION. THEN TAKE IT TO A LOCK SMITH, MOST LOCKSMITHS CAN CUT YOU ANOTHER KEY, WHEN I CRASHED MY BIKE I HAD TO GET A NEW STYLE KEY MADE CAUSE THE ONE I HAD WOULDNT TURN THE IGNITON ANYMORE, JUST MAKE SURE YOU CALL THE LOCKSMITH TO SEE IF HE HAS A "KAWASAKI BLANK" HE'LL KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKIN BOUT. IF NOT TRY MOTORCYLE REPAIR SHOPS FOR THE BLANK THEN TAKE IT TO A LOCKSMITH.

Since I am new I am just surfing old post and is why I am posting in old post. LOL
For future reference your key code should be on the back side of your helmet lock. You probbaly have to take it off to see it.
