Im still waiting all i can do is the online ones because i turn 16 in November and I they will not give me a quote by phone. So for them I am 16 but im not too worried because i will prob not end up getting the bike until around this time next year, so i will be able to have saved up enough to cover any unexpected costs.

That quote can't be even close to right. I'm 25 male, 93 Ninja 250, I have my truck insurance with TD, and they wouldnt insure me until I've had my motorcycle license for a certain amount of years. Plus, the premium was much higher than that. I have my bike insurance with state farm, $550 a year liability only.

I'm in Calgary Alberta, and I going to be paying$480 for full coverage on an 08 250 Ninja. I will just be getting my license in March, so I am a new rider, and 22 (but I am female so that might make it lower). Stay away from Primmum or TD, they were quoting me $1500.

I go through a broker, and since I haven't picked up my bike yet, I don't know what company it is, my guess would be Nordique, but I could be wrong. The broker is Diamond Insurance. I was getting quotes for $1,500 from Primmum and TD.

I just bought my '08 250R on Friday. Insurance through GMAC is $313 a year for full coverage. Progressive quoted $600...I don't get understand the difference, but I went with GMAC for sure. Pays to go to an independant agent and shop around.
