Default Help on buying my first ninja

Hey yall. I found this ninja online and just wanted to get some opinons on it. Heres the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-...QQcmdZViewItem

Says it just needs a new clutch basket, i've never heard that term before but i'm assuming i can jsut get a new clutch and but it on. Also it says it comes with anther engine which would be really nice for working on it. Im not like a proffesional mechanic but i usually do everything myself and try and figure it out. Do you guys think the price is good. I was hoping to mabey get it down to like $1500 with everything. Looks like a good deal to me just wanted some other opinos. Thanks in advance, and i hope i can be riding before to long.

The price seems too high to me. It is up to $1600+ right now and it needs a new clutch? Probably been ragged on if the clutch is bad already too. I bought my 2000 for $1500 with no problems with the bike.

I just bought a new '07 for $3200 because I didn't want to have to deal with all the intangibles (did he change the oil, have it services, wrecked?...)
For the price of a used one, I just waited a bit longer and saved enough for new. JMHO

i went through a dealership for the same reasons and actually they sold me an additional deal so that it extends my warranty another2 years and for the 3 year warranty period they do ALL the servicing to it. I just bring it in every 2 months and they check everything for me.
