hahahaha, break in does suck. Congrats on the new toy. Although being 130 miles from the new toy is worse!

I couldn't handle being that far away from my BRAND NEW bike for that long!

On another note, don't worry about the 4k limit that much. Go easy on the engine for the first few runs. Keep them short, and allow the engine to completely cool down in between the runs. after that you can kick it up a notch or two. As long as you keep the RPM's varied, your engine will break in much better, and also have better compression.

Yea just let the engine get warmed up before giving it a lot of throttle and you'll be fine.

Yeah i have rebuilt a few car engines so i wasnt riding the bike untill the idle evenout and it didnt need any choke. As far as ride length theres a roughly 10mile circle around where the house is so i have just been running around that. Its nice becouse theres a few stops lots of corners and the speed limit is in between 25-35mph wich is right around 4K rpm in 5th and 6th. But i must say i did get a bit excited and wound it out to 7K to gout away from a car. Man i cant wait untill i can hit 10K whre the power is
Also how detrimental are stalls? Ive stalled it a few times getting used to the clutch but the last time i went out i didnt have any problems. I wasnt too worried becouse its just kinda a fact of life and the engine should be built to handle a few.

a stall really isn't any worse than shutting off the engine as long as it doesn't result in a flooded engine.

don't worry about the chain, keep it cleaned and lubed after every ride. You may need to adjust it though after the first 100 miles or so.
