Either that, or it's getting too much fuel. I would be leaning more toward that. If it started with the throttle closed, and flooded when you rolled on the throttle, it would die.

hmm..... maybe 115's were a bit too high.....

didn't get around to checking anything tonight (besides getting a parking ticket!!!), I guess tomorrow I'll downsize to 110 and do the other little things, thanks

some more details that I remembered, whenever i tried to start her i could smell a lot of fuel from the carb's, so maybe it is running a little rich, and when I took the engine apart a second time there was a nice coat of fuel on the pistons, made it look almost glossy, too much? eh?

Default RE: Still not starting

So here's the update:

My buddy and I walk her over to a hill and try push starting, stills seems starved and blah blah. On that street is a scooter shop, the owner and I guy we met previously come out and help out, check for spark which is perfect, run through electrical, compression and timing seem good to go, etc. Only thing is fuel, one of the guys was thinking there is no way it shouldn't be starting unless its not getting ENOUGH fuel. So we take off the carb's spray some starter fluid in the ports and she turns over, keeps popping (NEVER SPRAY TOO MUCH, a 2 foot long flame ignited out the ports and burnt off some arm hairs, haha). So now my question:

So I tried turning her over previously and after a while could smell fuel from the carb's, my guess is it's not getting sucked into the ports at all. What did I **** up? Could it be the diaphrams, main jet? Some proceedure I overlooked? I had never done a ket installation before so maybe I just didn't do it right. Something with the needle jet perhaps? (mind hurting /longquestion)

"I bought this bike to learn from...."
Sounds like you got your wish.
You may know this bike so well you won't want another one!
