Is this dealer tryin to screw with me?
I live in cali, I'm 22 years old and the sales tax here I believe is 8.5%. Anyways I went to my local motorcycle dealership and they told me with zero down I could take home a Ninja 250R for about $4,500.00 after taxes and fees. Which comes to about $135.00 a month for 24 months.
I need to know if this deal is legit...I don't know to much about bikes but I checked online and it says the msrp is $3,999.00 give or take a few dollars. PLUS the dealer told me that the 250R I was looking at was a 2007 ?! I checked online and can't find anything about a 2007 250r model...I need some help, comments and suggestions from this forum, badly.
ps I know there is another topic like this, I just wanted to start a new one.

I have NEVER heard of a 250R going for that much out the door. When I bought mine new in June, I paid almost a 1000.00 less than what they are quoting you. The very most you should be paying out the door should be 3500.-3800. Any more, they are just trying to rip you off. go somewhere else.
Good luck, I'm sure you will find a good deal.

Yes.
We just bought a new 2006 for $3600. (But cash). Check around with other dealers, that's the only way to know. Go on-line to Kawasaki's website and find the nearest dealers. Michael's in Carson City, NV has good prices on '07s. There's no Nevada sales tax for out-of-state buyers (but Calif may sock you for "use" tax when you register it there).

I was looking at a 500 at the dealer and they told me that you can get almost any new kawi under 10k for around $80/month for 24 months, even if you could talk him down I still wouldn't do business with someone that quoted you that high.

Is there even a 2007 model of a 250R, I checked the official kawasaki website, they only show the 2006. But yeah I'm gonna need to do A LOT more research and bring some of my friends that actually know about bikes before I step into a dealership again...I was probably a huge target to them when I said, "I'm looking for a starter bike...", haha. damnit.
