Im looking at a new 09 ninja 250r. I like the price and definitely the looks. This wouldnt be my first bike. My first bike was an 87 ninja 500. Then i had an 03 shadow spirit 750. Then i had a 97 katana 750. I have only been riding for about 2 years, but i really like trying new bikes! Im 6'2 and 175lbs. I sat on one at the stealership yesterday and fell in love. Im just wondering if i spend 4800 bucks for a new one...is this bike going to be extremely useless to me since ive had bigger bikes? The kind of riding I do is in town riding and the good and fun 55mph country roads. If i get this bike, i feel like i will be able to ride it to its limits like its supposed to be and have fun doing it since its so nimble. Im really just looking for some honest opinions. I only have so much money, and i would really love a brand new bike....not to mention the insurance is cheap!

The 250 is a fun bike...my wife had an 04 and I would ride it to work once in awhile...it would get up over 110 and I weigh 200 pounds...they are fun but can't be compared to either the 600 or 636... ...if you don't plan on hammering down on the twisties or even going to the track the 250 is perfect...

Set up the suspension as best as possible, change tires and enjoy. The 250 should meet your expectations that you listed.

For what you intend to do with it - thrash the **** off it on roads that are slow enough to make that a challenge - it's a great bike and you'll have enormous fun on it.
