Default cost of paintjob/rims

if i were to sand the bike down myself, how much do you think a new paintjob and powdercoated rims cost? the most expensive you've heard or been charged, or the least you think. i'll have a lil bit of extra money left over. i'll prob wait a month or two after i'm riding in case i do drop it or do anything to it in teh first month or two of riding, just wondering how much i should save.

Well most painters will still charge you for sanding and such cuz their gonna make sure its done right. I know on my bike....for ME to paint it....its gonna cost me a bit over $200 just in paint and supplies. For powdercoating...I know a guy that charges like $50 plus shipping.
