Here is a link to a site where I am keeping up with my fuel economy based on different riding enviroments. Is anyone else keeping up with their mpgs and if so what are you getting?

I average 60-64 mpg in the city. Have no idea where Kawasaki gets their "claimed" 74 mpg rating. Never even been close to that. But hey, it's still more than 3x the economy of my car![8D]

 

I think their numbers are achievable if you drive like theengine is made out of glass. That's just not an option on most of the streets I find myself on...unless you enjoy being tailgated and cut off.

My mpg has actually dropped a bit now that I'm getting more comfortable on the bike and am not driving it at break-in RPMs. I got 67, 62, and 57 out of my first 3 tanks respectively.

 

I remember during break-in, at some point, the mpg went all the way down to the upper 40's.

I ride my bike to have fun so it sees the upper end of the tac every shift. I average about 60mpg... I was able to get 67 once when i cruised at 60 for an entire tank...

 

I just finished breakin in my bike and i really didnt get good gas milage. but yeah its still better than a civic or something
