Default Bike falling over

If your bike just tips over to the ground , gets a few scratches on it, but still works 100%, should you still get it checked out? Like if someone walking bumped it, and it fell over, could that cause so much damage that it should be checked out even though it works fine?

Just make sure the front wheel is still aligned properly, and all your fluids are ok. Most importantly, how long was it knocked over?

As far as I can see, nothings leaking out, but

For the oil window, when I stand the bike straight up, at what level should the oil be in the window?

The oil needs to be at least half the height of the sight glass, but do not fill past the sight.

Does it still shift smoothly through all the gears?

20 seconds, that wouldn't have flooded the carbs any but bent/broken turn signals and bent shifter and cracked/scraped fairings are what you're probably going to see if it was tipped over.

Cool, thanks guys. It runs smooth, and shifts smooth too. I dont know how to tell if it needs an alignment , should I get that done somewhere anyway, or is it most likely ok?

If your bike just tips over to the ground ... Like if someone walking bumped it, and it fell over...
Is that what really happened?

It will be fairly easy to tell if the front wheel is out of alignment. When i wrecked my front wheel got tweaked around so my handle bars were actually a few degrees off. It will feel like your making a turn but your going straight...

Yes, as sad as that is. It fell over on the driveway after letting someone sit on it, they didnt put the kickstand down correctly , which I blame my self for
trusting them to do.

Thanks for all the info everyone!
