I seem to be having alot of trouble finding an air filter to suit my89 ninja 250. something along the lines of it bein a grey import so spares are rare as hens teeth as the bikes shouldnt really be in australia so kawasaki doesnt even have them. can i just adapt a pod filter or get some of the filter foam and make my own up. would this restrict the bikes breathing at all or would i be better finding the oem part?

 

It might be a pain in the a$$ to find an original, but you could (and will) run into air/fuel ratio problems if switching to pod filters.
