250r good for a new rider?
Hi everyone, Well im new to this Fourm but ive been riding dirt bikes for awhile, i also ride my bosses Vulcan around the block not on side streets nothin in Big traffic, So im wondering if i shoudl Start out with a 250r? if i rides good , and has sum Axx to it?
or would a 500r be better

You have the dirt ride experience, so how did the Vulcan feel for you? And what do you expect from a ride?

Felt good, Wide,big but felt nice, guys at work says its ugly and a puxxy bike it was ok for me i liek the nice power it has, and as for me just somthing to ride around work-home out friends houses and mybe out ridin with the guys at work Vulcan, harley, and a FJR.
I dont need SUPER SPEED to kill myself (i Drag race cars) so yes i liek speed but not to much on a bike to kill myself

Well sir, I think that you may need to rethink your choices if you already drag.

i drag race too lol i got caught doing 85 in streetracing in a school zone, but i been up to 100 once on the ninja but never again man....i drive like a granny so i can show my nice bike off haha thats what its all about....but now i moved on to the ducati

Yup i plan on not racing this bike jus sumthing for riding to work and back or riding around town witht he Guys and there bike?

I would say more towards the 500 or play in the 600cc range. They both will get you in trouble so ride safe.

This is always a question on this forum. Both bikes are fun to ride, 250 may be slightly better on the twisties yet the 500 is better on the highway but both will do anything you want them to. The main issue is whether the gain in power is worth the loss of gas milage. Personally I think it is but its different for everyone.
