I was so excited to buy a 2008 Ninja 250, but I got impatient waiting for distribution… so I bought a new 07 Ninja 650 last weekend. I really needed to be on two wheels as traffic in my neck of the woods is ridiculous (southern cali and San Diego/Tijuana border).

I’m noticing that it holds the same amount of gasoline as my old 250 Ninja, but instead of having to gas up every 150 miles it seems as if I have to gas up every 100 miles. Obviously it’s a bigger engine, but that is a dramatic decrease in MPG!!! [:'(]
Maybe I should post this in the 650 forum….

You must ride pretty hard then.....

I went 230 miles on my 250 without even hitting the reserve. And with the 650 you should still be able to hit 180 miles before hitting the reserve.

JoshV987- I got mine Saturday
That blue is really hot!I wasn't too impressed with it when I saw it on the factory website, but seeing yours it looks very cool. A dealer near me got a black one in on Monday when I was there, but it was still in the crate & I didn't get to see it. Hopefully I'll get a look at it before it's sold.

I'm debating going from my cruiser to one of the new 08 250's, but I'm wondering about my size & weight. I'm 6'1" & tip the scales at 245 (and loosing). I've sat on a 07 & it felt pretty good, but I've no idea how I look sitting on it, if I overwhelm it or not. Would it be asking too much for dealers to take a photo & show ya how you look on a bike, lol.

The reviews of the older models thatI've readhave guys my size & bigger saying they still run pretty well even with thier weight on it, so I'm thinking the 08 model with improved low & mid-rangewill be even better.
